They’ve been moved behind the red rope – at least temporarily.

Several clients have asked “why are you giving away all that information – shouldn’t it just be for the people who pay you?”

The answer is “maybe, maybe not.” We’re thinking about it. For now we’re making it available only to clients while we consider some options.

It’s $197 for the “pro” version – unlimited use, lifetime upgrades, 30 pre-made header graphics and ten new headers graphics every month. I’ve spent a lot more for premium Wordpress themes that offered a lot less. At this price it’s a no-brainer. Check it out here.

Animoto is a very cool web-based tool for creating video content – music video style slideshows of your own images.  It’s simple to use.  You upload your photos and your music to the Animoto site and just a few minutes later you download a video ready to post to your own website, blog or newsletter.  You can upload your video to YouTube directly from the Animoto site, and you can also download a high resolution version of your video – ready to burn to a DVD.

Animoto’s pricing is as reasonable as it gets – a basic account is free.  The basic account allows you to create unlimited 30-second videos.  A $30/year personal account allows you to create full length (up to 10 minute) videos, and opens up a few more features.

A $250 per year business account gives you unlimited videos and high resolution downloads, along with access to Animoto’s library of commercially licensed music tracks.  You can also create a “call to action” button at the end of your video that links to anywhere you choose.  If you have ever created your own video content or paid to have it done you’ll recognize what a bargain the business account is.

Visit the Animoto site for details, examples and business use case studies.  And check this example by a Strategy Lab client.  Animoto claims to be “the end of slide shows.”  I don’t know if that will turn out to be true, but I wouldn’t bet against it.
